Custodian - Part - Time

Our team members receive a complimentary membership to our health club, Fitness First; free golf and free admission to our water parksBASIC FUNCTIONPerforms assigned custodial duties necessary for the maintenance and upkeep of the Devonshire Cultural Center.ESSENTIAL DUTIES1. Performs routine maintenance tasks and related work as required and directed by the Custodial Supervisor and the Devonshire Cultural Center Manager.2. Maintains facility through performing the following tasks: washes windows, mops floors, vacuums, washes carpet, waxes floors, cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, shovels snow, cleans facility equipment, cleans and maintains kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pots), empties trash and recycling receptacles, waters/prunes indoor plants, changes air conditioner and furnace filters, cleans facility grounds of litter and debris, makes minor building repairs.3. Works cooperatively with other staff, supervisors and the public.4. Assists in room set-up and take-down which may include setting up tables and chairs.5. Assists in facility performance and safety audits.6. Completes custodial maintenance check lists accurately.7. Performs other duties as assigned.Hours:Mondays - Fridays from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pmMaybe asked to cover other shifts and occasionally asked to work later hours. Maybe asked to work occasional weekend hours depending on the needs of the facility.Must have the ability to work independently and the ability to follow a schedule and check list of assigned tasks. Adheres to and actively enforces the safety responsibilities and safety procedures as outlined in the District's Safety Manual and overall risk management program.Must be a responsible and organized adult and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). At least two years of custodial maintenance experience is preferred. The individual Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be an adult at least 18 years of age.** This job falls in paygrade PT5.
