As we expand our ISO‑compliant operations and progress toward GMP certification , we are seeking an experienced Facilities & Utilities Technician to help ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of our facility.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in biotech, pharma, chemical plant, semiconductor, or other high‑hazard manufacturing environments .

What You’ll Do

You’ll maintain and support the operational readiness of our GMP/ISO facility, ensuring compliance, safety, and uptime.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on:
• Building systems
• HVAC, air compressors, power generators
• Industrial utilities and equipment
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA, NFPA, HAZMAT, and EHS requirements
• Conduct safety checks, identify hazards, and support access control and site security measures
• Perform general facility upkeep, janitorial tasks, and specialized cleaning in production areas and labs
• Support production and lab operations with cautious, equipment‑protective cleaning
• Manage facility supplies and inventory, including ordering and restocking
• Set up spaces for meetings and support office/kitchen/breakroom needs
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on facility needs
• Maintain accurate records for maintenance, inspections, CMMS logs, and inventory
• Transload hazardous materials between tanker trucks and storage tanks in compliance with all regulations
• Ensure strict adherence to EHS and ESG guidelines
• Support additional duties as business needs require, including mandatory weekend overtime

What We’re Looking For

Required

• High school diploma with Technical Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience in a regulated lab, GMP, or high‑hazard environment
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Industrial process equipment
• Hazardous materials handling and tank farms
• Building and utility systems
• Experience with OSHA, NFPA, cGMP, ISO
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and technical drawings
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office
• Strong problem‑solving, planning, and communication skills
• Self‑directed, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Fluent in English

Preferred

• Forklift certification
• HAZWOPER certification
• Prior experience at an operating high‑hazard site

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequent standing/walking (up to 6 hours/day)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use tools requiring moderate‑heavy strength
• Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, bend, and work in confined spaces
• Exposure to temperature changes, noise, chemicals, and hazardous materials (with PPE)
• Must wear safety shoes as required
• Ability to work extended hours and mandatory production weekend overtime as needed
