Position Summary The Research Assistant will recruit, call, screen, interview, schedule, and run human participants for a cognitive neuroscience experiment. The study focuses on individuals with Parkinson’s disease and matched healthy controls. Responsibilities include independently performing interactive clinical assessments (Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale), coordinating brain‑based assessments (MRI, MEG, EEG), and documenting findings. The role requires strong people skills, excellent documentation, and the ability to balance multiple assessment schedules while working closely with a diverse team across UNM, HSC, and MRN. Hourly salary: $16.71–$20.93 (DOE). Term: full‑time, one‑year contract. Responsibilities Recruit, call, screen, interview, schedule, and run participants for the study. Perform independent clinical assessments such as Montreal Cognitive Assessment and Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale. Coordinate and run MRI, MEG, and EEG assessments and maintain detailed documentation. Balance multiple time calendars for varied assessment equipment. Assist participants through brain‑based assessments while ensuring comfort and safety. Collaborate with a diverse team across institutions and provide guidance to entry‑level assistants or interns. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of directly related experience. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution can substitute for experience on a year‑to‑year basis. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with coursework in cognitive and clinical psychology. At least 1 year of experience in a research laboratory.
