Bus Driver

Vacancies exist for 6-hour bus drivers. The hours are: A.M. Run 6:15 am to 9:15 am P.M. Run 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm. Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package. Drivers can participate in the New York State Employees' Retirement System.

Responsibilities include: operating a school bus on regularly scheduled trips to and from school, transporting passengers on field trips and athletic events, maintaining order and ensuring safety of the students (teachers and chaperones if applicable) while the bus is in operation, completing daily pre and post trip shift vehicle inspection reports, adhering to all NYS Motor Vehicle laws under NYS Article 19A requirements, communicating and receiving direction from the Dispatcher, Head Bus Driver and/or Supervisor.

Candidates must have: a clean driving record, a Class B license with a PS endorsement, two years prior experience driving a big bus, ability to follow oral and written instructions, 30-hour School Bus Driver Training Certificate. Starting at $27.05/hour.
