Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct, hands-on care to residents in our Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care community. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA assists residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence, preserving dignity, and enhancing each resident's quality of life.

Every interaction matters. Whether assisting with personal care, offering a comforting smile, or simply listening to a resident's story, our CNAs play an essential role in creating a warm, caring environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and other personal care needs.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation using proper safety techniques.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident call lights and requests.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the licensed nurse.
• Measure and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned observations.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and feeding when needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Support residents in maintaining the highest possible level of independence.
• Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and comfortable.
• Follow individualized care plans and participate in delivering person-centered care.
• Practice infection prevention and follow all safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Protect resident confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Colorado.
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or senior living preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning as a collaborative member of the healthcare team.
• A positive attitude, compassionate heart, and commitment to exceptional resident care.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, transfer, and reposition residents throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance when appropriate.
• Ability to safely operate resident lifting equipment and mobility devices.
