Who We Are Looking For We need licensed veterinary technicians who thrive under pressure and want to make a real impact as part of our Emergency and Critical Care team. What You Can Expect To Do Leadership: Guide your team through each shift, delegating people and resources and supporting veterinarians and specialists. Emergency & Critical Care Nursing: Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration by all routes in high‑pressure situations. Patient Interventions & CPR: Monitor patients at risk for cardiac and respiratory arrest and initiate CPR as needed. Patient Monitoring & Record Keeping: Conduct assessments using monitoring techniques and communicate with pet owners about their pet's history. Diagnostics: Handle patient samples, operate various diagnostics including radiology, and run in‑house laboratory tests. Anesthesia Monitoring & Surgical Assistance: Keep detailed anesthetic records and ensure procedures run smoothly, responding rapidly to emergencies. Collaboration: Partner with department teams to plan and coordinate diagnostics and procedures, communicating patient status. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient well‑being and comfort from arrival to discharge. Required Qualifications 2‑3 years of nursing experience in a veterinary setting; proven experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Specialty/Referral practice required. Skill set: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, drug calculations, with strong medical math skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills (prior leadership experience preferred). Attention to detail and accuracy, especially in critical moments. Ability to lift 40 lbs. Availability for a full‑time schedule (36+ hours per week). Preferred Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification.
