Maintenance Shift Supervisor

Overview Reynolds Consumer Products is looking to build a strong career for a Maintenance Supervisor in Louisville, KY. Responsibilities As Maintenance Supervisor, you will: The supervise a team of maintenance employees, performing preventative/corrective maintenance, emergency repairs, installations, and modifications of plant production and service equipment. Maintain systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing defective or inoperative parts. Troubleshoot broken equipment quickly and restore the equipment to operation, assisting maintenance and engineering groups in determining solutions to technical problems involving rolling mills, separators, annealing furnaces, spoolers, and packaging equipment. Directly manage about 25 employees in a union environment and work with all employees on various maintenance projects related to the aluminum rolling, separating, and packaging process. Ensure compliance of direct reports with the company’s environmental, health, and safety protocols along with other company policies; maintain hourly personnel files, including filing all documents related to company policy such as employee counseling, time and attendance, work performance, etc. Occasionally manage both production and maintenance employees; support a 24/7 production schedule with a 12‑hour rotating shift. Ensure plant equipment operates properly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 4+ years of experience in a unionized maintenance department in manufacturing. Strong knowledge and demonstrated skills in electrical troubleshooting. Qualified in NFPA – 70E for electrical work. Working knowledge of a preventive and predictive maintenance system. Strong leadership skills with experience leading multi‑craft teams. Additional background or experience in machine design, hydraulics, and general mechanics. Ability to work in a team environment and employ problem‑solving skills. Experience with a CMMS system. Excellent written and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Willingness to work any shift, overtime, and mandatory weekend work. Icing on the Cake (Additional Qualifications) BA/BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. MBA or other advanced degree. Experience working in a union environment. Proficiency in SAP and Kronos. Local Hiring Requirement Local candidates only; no relocation assistance available.
