Wound Ostomy RN - Outpatient Wound Healing Center

Description

A clinical expert who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for patients with chronic non healing wounds in urban outpatient wound clinic. Functions as a consultant for patients with altered skin integrity, and complex wounds including chronic lower extremity and non healing surgical wounds.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 2 years of hire: WOCN
• Experience managing simple and complex wounds and ostomies (specialty areas may require additional experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school. Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire. Continued employment by Swedish beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree. Registered Nurses employed by Swedish prior to December 1, 2012 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
• Upon hire: Board certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Society (WOCN)

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
