Lifeguard - Per Diem

Seasonal position - May through Sept - Outdoor pool Schedule: Days, Evenings, Weekends - Various shifts between 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Per Diem position Primary Duties & Essential Functions: Monitor, maintain, and utilize sound working knowledge of all program standards (OCFS, COA, CSE, and HIPAA). Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment. Contact emergency medical personnel and agency administration in case of a serious injury. Instruct and provide all swimming participants with safety precaution information. Patrol and monitor the swimming pool area to ensure compliance and safety measures are upheld. Maintain the quality of the pool water by testing chemical levels. Complete and maintain records of water and pool area conditions, emergency medical treatments performed, and other relevant incident information. Warn swimmers of inclement weather, unsafe areas, and illegal conduct. Inspect recreational equipment for the pool area to ensure safety. As these duties and responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive, other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as business needs require. Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills: High School Diploma/GED. Must be First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. Must be Certified Lifeguard. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
