Position Information Title: IT Support Specialist II Requisition Number: S02430P Category: Staff Location: Weber State University – Ogden, UT Hours per week: 40 Months per year: 12 Pay Grade: N27 FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Summary / Basic Function Supports a designated academic area as part of the Integrated Technology Support Services (ITSS) team, providing timely support to faculty and staff technology in their offices, classrooms/labs, and conference rooms. Work with IT staff to set up and refresh images in classrooms and labs Install specialized software, help coordinate purchase and deployment of specialized equipment, track equipment in campus inventory Manage incoming work requests and coordinate faculty and staff support with other IT staff; complete college projects and tasks as assigned Adhere strictly to campus and college security standards and policies Report to ITSS team manager and attend mandatory meetings and trainings Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience At least 2 years of troubleshooting experience with emphasis on 2 or more of the following: Microsoft Active Directory or other user account management system System management software (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, JAMF) Security & Vulnerability Management Microsoft and Apple command-line interfaces (PowerShell, Terminal) AV Technologies Experience supporting Windows, Mac OS, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office Suite Experience imaging computers Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with healthcare lab simulation equipment and software (CAE, Gaumard, Elevate Healthcare manikins, LearningSpace) Experience evaluating and maintaining the security of computer stations Experience providing formal or informal training to peers and those outside the #J-18808-Ljbffr Weber State University
