Contract RN – Neuro Telemetry (Night Shift) / 13-Week Travel Assignment

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekend Commitment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro Telemetry unit, monitoring and responding to changes in neurological and cardiac status
• Perform peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and nasogastric tube (NGT) insertions
• Accurately document patient care activities and assessments using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage with a minimum of two weekend day commitments per schedule cycle
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure management, or neurological disorders
• Cardiac nursing experience
• Neuro-surgical nursing background
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
