Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of recent progressive care experience License: Current RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Must-Have: Strong neuro assessment and cardiac monitoring skills Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips Experience with Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin drips EPIC experience required Comfortable with CPAP, high-flow oxygen, telemetry monitoring, ECGs, and escalation of rhythm or clinical changes Description: This position supports the adult inpatient division and involves floating based on staffing needs. Travelers will be preassigned to a primary unit but may float as necessary. Preassigned units may change as census, acuity, and staffing evolve. Common diagnoses include stroke evaluation, chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF, sepsis, respiratory failure, AKI, GI bleeding, altered mental status, postoperative care, and other medical/PCU diagnoses. Travelers should expect to float across various inpatient areas, including telemetry, medical-surgical, and surgical units. This may include duties outside the nurse's primary competency and scope. Scheduling requires flexibility, including a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday coverage will be based on staffing needs. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, adaptable nurse who can quickly integrate into different inpatient teams while providing safe, high-quality care. Oncology experience is a plus but not required.
