With breakfast, lunch, and a relaxed afternoon wine program, it focuses on seasonal cooking, thoughtful preparation, and everyday ease, creating a place guests can rely on and return to often.

Overview

Kat's Kitchen is looking for Line Cooks to collaborate with new ownership to evolve its legacy. The Line Cooks will collaborate closely with the Chef team to prepare and execute dishes at the highest level while supporting the collective standards and culture of the kitchen. This role requires focus and consistency, with an emphasis on teamwork.

What You’ll Do

• Execute dishes according to established recipes, techniques, and presentation standards with consistency and care.
• Take ownership of an assigned station, including preparation, organization, cleanliness, and service execution.
• Work collaboratively to continually elevate the quality of food, service, and overall guest experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined workstation before, during, and after service.
• Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper equipment use.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with chefs and teammates throughout prep and service.
• Support teammates and other stations as needed to ensure smooth and cohesive service.
• Participate in daily setup, breakdown, and cleaning procedures.
• Contribute positively to a focused, respectful kitchen culture rooted in shared responsibility.
• Assist with additional kitchen tasks or projects as needed.

Who You Are

We are seeking individuals with experience as a line cook who demonstrate:

• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and clear communication.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute work efficiently.
• A collaborative spirit and respect for the work of others.
• You are a team player who can set your ego aside and find win-for-all solutions.
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant 
• Knowledge of standard restaurant service procedures
• Must be punctual and reliable 

Health & Safety

• Solid understanding of professional kitchen standards and expectations.
• Ability to follow recipes, techniques, and quality requirements precisely.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional under pressure.
• Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Must have or obtain a California Food Handler’s Certification.

Work Environment

• Involves standing and walking the entire shift
• Involves holding objects with hands 
• Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently 
• Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 25-50 pounds with frequency throughout the shift
