Senior Accountant Are you an experienced accountant looking to take the next step in your career? You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients, manage accounting projects from start to finish, and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality client service. The Role As Senior Accountant, you’ll take responsibility for managing your own portfolio while supporting managers and directors across a broad range of clients. You’ll be involved in preparing and reviewing financial statements, providing insights to business owners, and supporting junior team members in their professional development. Key responsibilities include: Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Preparing management accounts and financial reports Completing corporation tax computations and supporting tax planning projects Reviewing work completed by junior team members and offering constructive feedback Supporting clients with accounting queries, systems, and processes Building long-term client relationships through excellent service and communication Assisting with the implementation of digital accounting tools and cloud software About You You’ll be a confident and proactive accounting professional with a passion for client service and quality. You will: Be ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience) Have at least 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and corporation tax principles Be experienced with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage Possess excellent communication and organisational skills Be comfortable managing multiple deadlines and projects Be enthusiastic about mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm’s success The Firm You’ll be joining a progressive accountancy and advisory group with offices across the UK and Ireland.
