School Psychologist

Help Students Reach Their Potential TX-STAR Speech Language Services partners with school districts throughout Texas to provide specialized support for students with a wide range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. We are currently seeking School Psychologists for school-based assignments in the San Antonio area. These opportunities are well suited for professionals who are committed to student well-being, comprehensive assessment, and using data-informed practices to improve educational and behavioral outcomes. Your Role and Responsibilities As a School Psychologist, you will provide evaluation, consultation, intervention, and collaborative support within a school-based environment. In this role, you will: Complete comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments Analyze evaluation results to help determine student eligibility and appropriate service needs Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of Individualized Education Programs Provide consultation, counseling support, and evidence-based behavioral strategies Partner with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary team members Assist campus teams in developing classroom interventions and behavior support plans Participate in ARD and IEP meetings and clearly communicate evaluation findings and recommendations Conduct reevaluations in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely records that meet district and compliance standards Qualifications for This Position Master7s degree in School Psychology or a closely related field Current Texas license or credential authorizing practice as a School Psychologist Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments Strong understanding of special education regulations, evaluation procedures, and compliance requirements Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organization, documentation, and time-management abilities Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred Work Setting and Scheduling Options School-based assignments in the San Antonio area Opportunities to support students from prekindergarten through high school Flexible placement options, including: Full-time assignments Part-time schedules Some positions may require travel between multiple campuses Evening or weekend evaluation opportunities may be available Placements coordinated according to your availability, qualifications, and current district needs What You Can Expect from TX-STAR Competitive compensation based on relevant experience Flexible scheduling opportunities Reliable bi-weekly pay Access to medical, dental, and vision insurance options A supportive and people-centered workplace culture Continued guidance from experienced program staff Employee referral bonus opportunities Professional learning and career development resources Access to an established network of school partnerships throughout Texas Learn More About TX-STAR Since 2010, TX-STAR Speech Language Services has helped school districts across Texas connect with qualified special education and student-support professionals.
