Breakfast Host

Position Summary As a Breakfast Host, you are responsible to deliver exceptional guest experiences and prepare high quality meals for your guests. You must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver legendary experiences to our guests. You need the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and have a strong understanding of food safety requirements to effectively deliver 100% guest satisfaction standards. Job Responsibilities In this position, you are the public face of Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West. You have responsibilities for guest satisfaction, to be a team player, and ensuring that the facility is remarkably clean. Presentation and Image Always present a clean and professional image by adhering to the parameters in the dress code policy. Provide a welcoming experience to all guests in all interactions. Guest Experience and Operations Provide courteous assistance to guests and team members, reinforcing IHG's values, policies, and procedures. Greet and provide assistance to every guest as they enter the breakfast room. Keep coffee and food fresh and filled during breakfast service hours. Always keep the area clean and sanitized and adhere to all food safety protocols. Keep the pantry area spotless. Maintain the highest of cleanliness standards in the breakfast and public areas, including but not limited to windows, sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, and changing garbage. Training and Development Complete all training by assigned due date. Advocate for training when deficiencies in performance are identified. Work Conditions Ability to handle challenging and hectic workdays. Flexible attitude and a willingness to help fellow team members. Essential Education & Skills that are Required A minimum of 1 year of experience in hospitality, or food industry. Strong knowledge of food safety standards. Ability to handle large crowds. Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment. High level of integrity, a positive attitude, and be a coachable team player. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Typical Physical Activity This position poses significant mental, physical, and visual demands (the ability to multi-task, standing/walking for long periods, working under pressure, and be self-motivated).
