Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and methodologies. \n
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s unique challenges, focusing on promoting their overall well-being and academic success. \n
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions and group therapy for students dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and relationship difficulties. \n
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement strategies that enhance learning outcomes and support students' social-emotional development. \n
- Identify students who require specialized services, making referrals to mental health practitioners and community resources when necessary. \n
- Advocate for students' rights and ensure they have access to appropriate educational resources and opportunities. \n
- Conduct outreach to families through home visits or virtual consultations to provide additional support and gather critical information about students' home environments. \n
- Facilitate educational workshops for students and parents on topics including mental health awareness, resilience training, and conflict resolution techniques. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. \n
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in school social work through ongoing professional development and education opportunities. \n
You will work with a diverse student population from various socio-economic backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and strengths. Your role will focus on addressing the needs of students who may be experiencing academic difficulties, emotional distress, or behavioral issues. By employing culturally sensitive approaches, you will foster trusting relationships that empower students to seek help and promote their self-advocacy.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Current and valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker is essential. \n
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a social work role, with a preference for experience in educational or child-focused environments. \n
- A solid understanding of child development, family systems, and effective behavior management techniques. \n
- Knowledge of relevant educational laws, policies, and procedures that impact student services. \n
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills. \n
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to connect empathetically with students and families. \n

- Experience working in virtual environments and with telehealth methodologies is a distinct advantage. \n
- Fluency in multiple languages will be considered when assessing candidates. \n
