Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Operational Support Facilities Division, Border Patrol and Air and Marine Program Management Office, 1 vacancy located in El Paso, TX. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Learn more about this agency Duties Help This position is responsible for advanced financial analysis, SAP financial system expertise, and compliance with federal accounting standards and appropriations law. The position supports executive-level decision-making, cross-division coordination, and the preparation of high-impact reports and recommendations. This position starts at a salary of $89,508.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $116,362.00 (GS-12, Step 10). Major duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Providing mission support and technical services by gathering, organizing, and managing data to develop plans and evaluate program and partner performance.
- Preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence for senior managers using internal data and agency systems to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Serving as a point of contact for office staff, offering guidance on business process trends and conducting data analyses using SAP and other management tools.
- Researching suppliers, procuring goods and services, reconciling purchase card statements, and maintaining inventory and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Assisting as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with statement of work development, cost estimates, contractor schedule review, quality assurance, and invoice processing.

- Assisting with the analysis and coordination of program support, budget execution, and administrative activities under established guidelines and procedures.
- Supporting the planning of work, helping to develop goals and objectives for program implementation, and applying established techniques and methods to contribute to decisions, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Adjusting assignments as directed in response to changing program goals and objectives.
- Managing routine circumstances, monitoring funding constraints, and maintaining confidentiality of data and sensitivity of issues, with guidance from supervisors.
- Identifying and resolving straightforward problems, addressing defined concepts and issues, and considering uncertainties when assisting with the development of plans and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
- Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/16/2026.
- Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military
- A dependent who was authorized to accompany a federal civilian or member of the military who was working for the U.S. government
- Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
- Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
