- Hourly pay: $50/hr
- Worksite: Leading digital streaming network (San Francisco, CA 94107 - Hybrid until September)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 9 Month Assignment
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, revenue recognition, deferred revenue rollforwards, and variance analysis.
- Perform subscription revenue accounting, including building revenue waterfalls, amortization schedules, and reconciling unbilled receivables and credit card transactions.
- Collaborate with cash and tax teams to support reconciliations, sales tax reporting, compliance, and coordination of payment-related entries.
- Partner with auditors and support SOX and audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to sample inquiries.
- Participate in ERP/system implementations, data validation, and process improvement initiatives, while supporting ad hoc financial analysis and reporting needs.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition and subscription-based models.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems.
- Subscription revenue experience and Deferred Revenue reconciliation.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XKLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Experience with financial reconciliations, month-end close, and working with auditors.
- Experience with subscription/streaming, advertising media environments, payment gateways, or banking systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Operative One, Salesforce, or Recurly, and exposure to foreign currency transactions are preferred.
- Credit card cash.
- 9:00 am to 6:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. (On-site on Wednesdays, or as needed)
- Will transition to full-time on-site by September 2026.
