Role Summary The Assistant Manager assists in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. Assistant Managers are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager and support its decisions in communication with staff. Work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions as required. Train and coach team members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report building, property, and equipment repair needs to the General Manager. Ensure team members follow the dress code and provide superior customer service. Interact with guests to improve service and enforce policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Report employee‑relations issues to the General Manager or, absent the GM, via following the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol. Maintain a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct, identifying and sanitizing high‑contact areas and properly using personal protective equipment. Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, and suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements At least 18 years of age. High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Complete three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food‑handling training and obtain any required local or state certification, health card, or food‑handler permit. Complete Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol. Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude; excellent guest service skills. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with all ages, genders, and personalities. Effective English communication and comprehension. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to follow direction and respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time‑management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Capability to train and lead others. Conflict‑resolution skills. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs.; frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre; moderate to high noise levels; ability to remain in a standing position for extended periods.
