Material Handling Specialist - 3104USA:TX:Dallas | Warehouse | Full-TimeResponsibilities of the Material Handling Specialist include, but are not limited to:Provide the support necessary for functions related to the distribution of material, tools, equipment and products within the plant. Provide assistance within the receiving function by using drawings, bill-of materials, work orders, customer orders, production schedules, shipping orders purchase orders or requisitions. Adhere to a set of key indicators that can be used as an internal benchmark for the continuous improvement of the material central function. Insure that the company maintains a competitive edge in the marketplace. Process all material movements that support the material control function. Distribute fabrication, assembly and operating supplies to all departments. Assist in unloading steel trucks, inspect incoming materials, verify material test reports (MTR's) in accordance with quality assurance program. Coordinates with the assembly, fabrication and materials departments to resolve any material discrepancies. Assist in locating received parts and replacing incorrect parts received. Identify and manage surplus material. Take inventory stock quantities of designated items. Organize and maintain designated sections of the laydown yard. Perform cycle counts of inventoried items and reports the data to the Buyer.Qualifications of the Material Handling Specialist include, but are not limited to:Minimum of 2 years' experience within the material planning areas of manufacturing. Specific experience in a multi-plant, centralized material control environment is a plus. Proficient in the use of MS Office, primarily Excel and Word is a plus.
