Health Care Allegations Analyst

Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the state budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit R01, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by three percent and will receive five PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

Under the general direction of a Supervisor II, Health Care Allegations of Staff Misconduct Unit (ASMU), Policy and Risk Management Services (PRMS), the Health Care Allegations Analyst (HCAA) performs more complex research and analysis into allegations of health care staff misconduct against the incarcerated population. The HCCA coordinates across various disciplines (i.e., medical, dental, mental health, and administrative) and provides consultation and recommendations to ASMU management.

This position is located in Policy and Risk Management Services, which is responsible for many of the branches and units that allow California Correctional Health Care Services to operate objectively and efficiently: the Risk Management Branch, Health Care Correspondence and Appeals Branch, Health Care Allegations of Staff Misconduct, and Privacy Office. While each branch has its own mission and goals, they all come together to promote and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
