Athletic Coaching Opportunities (2026-2027) Temporary Washington, DC, US 22 days ago Requisition ID: 1134 Salary Range: $1,750.00 To $14,064.00 Annually About the Position Georgetown Day School, in Washington DC is searching for athletic coaches, in both the Upper and Middle School programs, for the 2026-2027 school year. These are part‑time, temporary positions with a stipend. Coaching Skills/Requirements Candidates should have coaching experience and preferably playing experience at the high school and/or college level. The coach will report to the High School Athletic Director and/or Middle School Athletic Director, depending upon the sport and the level of the team. Coaches are responsible for the planning of practices and games, organization and use of equipment, helping with uniform distribution and collection. GDS 2026-27 Coaching Position Openings Fall 2026 Coaching Positions High School Athletics Program: Two hour practices Monday – Friday between 3:30–6:30 p.m. except on game days. Games are typically twice a week with varying start times between 3:30–5:00 p.m. Limited weekend participation (varies by sport) and an annual Sports Saturday game on September 26th. High School Fall Season dates: HS Varsity Coaches begin on 8/10/26. HS Assistant Coaches and JV Coaches start on 8/17/26. Most sports start for students on 8/24/26 and go through 11/19/26 (Season end date determined by post season play). Men's Soccer Varsity Assistant, $4,102 (students start 8/22) Fall Strength & Conditioning Coach, $4,102 (students start 8/24) Middle School Athletics Program Practices are four days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) from 2:15–3:30 p.m. Games are typically twice a week with 2:45 or 3:00 p.m. start times and are usually an hour long. Middle School Fall Season dates: 8/27/26 – 10/20/26. Head Coaches are expected to report starting on 8/17/26 and Assistant Coaches are expected to report starting on 8/24/26.
