Job Description Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist located at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. Under general supervision, this position performs a wide range of professional human resources work in support of the agency's HR programs and operations. Provides assistance and support to the Chief and Assistant Chief of Human Resources and to the HR team. Areas of Responsibility Recruitment and pre‑employment processing Compensation and benefits administration Performance management Employee relations HR reporting Maintenance of HR records and systems May supervise lower-level HR staff Requirements Five years of progressively responsible professional human resources experience, including recruitment, training, benefits administration, employee relations, or affirmative action Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, human resources, or related field (or nine years of qualifying experience plus PHR or SHRM-CP certificate in lieu) Valid driver's license with less than 5 points Benefits Health insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, plus flexible spending accounts 401(k) retirement savings program with generous agency match Paid vacation, personal and sick leave Eleven paid holidays per year Tuition assistance Estimated Pay Range: $66,861.04 - $91,933.74.
