Automotive Service Manager# Automotive Service ManagerNutley Kia - Nutley, NJ 07110## OverviewSalary Range$150,000.00 - $250,000.00 Base+Commission/year## DescriptionAs an Automotive Service Manager at Nutley Kia, part of the Generation Auto Group, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the automotive service department. This role is responsible for ensuring that high-quality service, CSI, and repairs are provided to customers while managing a team of technicians, service advisors, lot attendants, and other service personnel.**What You’ll Be Doing:**The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:Customer Service: • Ensure that every customer receives a prompt response and is informed of the status of their vehicle repairs. • Strive to maintain the highest level of CSI. • Strive to maintain the highest level of Fixed First Visit (FFV). • Conduct Customer Satisfaction surveys to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while building lasting customer relationships.Team Management: • Supervise and lead a team of service technicians, service advisors, lot attendants, and other service personnel. • Recruit, hire, train, and develop service department employees. • Provide ongoing coaching, evaluation, and motivation to enhance team performance. • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary. • Ensure employees remain current with manufacturer training and certifications from Nissan and Infiniti. • Communicate effectively with the parts department to ensure smooth workflow.Operations Oversight: • Monitor and manage shop capacity and efficiency to ensure optimal utilization of resources. • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and resolve issues to customer satisfaction. • Monitor Work in Process (WIP), CSI, FFV, and overall shop efficiency. • Monitor warranty claims alongside the warranty administrator.Leadership: • Provide strong leadership by fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork. • Lead by example, setting high standards for quality and professionalism. • Maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere that promotes employee morale and motivation.Training and Development: • Ensure employees stay current with manufacturer training, certifications, and industry knowledge related to Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. • Support career development and provide guidance to help employees advance in their roles.This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, a deep understanding of automotive service and repair, and excellent customer service abilities. Automotive Service Managers must be effective communicators and problem solvers to ensure the service department runs smoothly and that customers are satisfied with the service provided.
