Job Summary Thrive in various roles such as Host, Server Assistant, or Breakfast Attendant by providing exceptional service to visitors in a dynamic and supportive environment. You may be welcoming guests and seating them, clearing tables and restocking supplies, or setting up the breakfast buffet room. All roles are customer service positions where helping guests is required. The Details Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $15.20 - $16.00 per hour depending on roles Start Date: September 2026 Schedule: Typical schedule is 32-40 hours, 5 days per week (will include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon? Responsibilities Fully understand and support Xanterra's Mission Statement and Core Values. Continually focus on providing exceptional guest service as a primary goal, both in how work is conducted and when interacting with guests. Set tables according house standards and meal period placements. Clear finished tables in an expedient manner. Clear set tables of excess settings after guests have been seated. Clean area around assigned section throughout the seating period. Take dirty used dishes to the dish station and breakdown according to standards for the Kitchen Utility personnel to wash. Assist the Servers as needed and/or assigned by the Service Manager. Bring any guest complaint(s) or issue(s) to the immediate attention of the Service Manager or Unit Manager. When necessary notify the Host/Hostess of vacant tables ready for setting and number of settings needed. Complete opening and closing side duties to standard, and assist other Bussers and/or Servers with side duties as needed. Become familiar with dining room menus to properly answer any guest questions. Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience preferred. Physical Requirements Constantly: Stand, walk, and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. Frequently: Handling and reaching outward, lift/carry up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 12 lbs.
