About the Job: We are looking for a highly personable and enthusiastic bakery assistant to work with our Chef and Assistant to the Chef in completing our daily baked goods production. Job Type: Part Time & Full time Starting Rate: $16 Benefits: Paid Time off for Part Time and Fulltime Team Members Paid lunch breaks 50% Discount in merchandise and Food Service Free Parking for Team Members Bakery Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the follow: Creating a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter. Advising customers on baked goods selection and taking orders. Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock. Bake and decorate our Hershey's products (cookies, brownies, etc) Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly. Monitoring quality control of all baked goods. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized work area Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile. Position Requirements Bakery Assistant Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED. 1-2 years of bakery experience Southern Nevada Food Handlers Card Baking techniques such as caramelizing, tempering chocolate, and accuracy in pipping. Advanced ability to multitask and follow instructions given by bakers. To be able to adapt to the production demand. To be ready, willing, and able to support the team. Must maintain a neat appearance and adhere to uniform standards. Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours.
