Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Following mapping directions and adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
• Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Transporting clients with special needs, physical handicaps, and high acuity mental illness to and from scheduled appointments.
• Adhering to policies and procedures in maintaining appropriate client behavior.
• Maintaining the transportation vehicle in a clean and orderly condition and inspecting and reporting mechanical defects or malfunctions promptly to supervisor.
• Completing the daily transportation activity record, including the number of students transported, mileage, type of trip, and standby time.
• Responsible for the supervision of residents.
• Assisting in accompanying residents with special needs, physical handicaps, and high acuity mental illness to and from scheduled appointments and outings. Assisting residents with boarding and exiting vehicles. Securing residents in seats.
• Adhering to policies and procedures in maintaining appropriate resident behavior. Utilizing appropriate de-escalation methods when appropriate.
• Completing housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, sanitizing, taking out garbage and keeping common areas free of clutter and debris.
• Serving meals to residents.
• Stocking supplies i.e. paper towels, cleaning supplies.
• Monitoring client medication pass components.
• Conducting client pat-downs, room searches and urinalysis testing.
• Ensuring timely and accurate client documentation.
• Promoting and demonstrating the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Embrave.
• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies, and community partners.

• Responsible for the human, financial, and material resources as well as data and information entrusted to us.
• Performing other job-related duties as required.

Supervision exercised: None

Education/Work Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

QMAP-certified OR expected to take part in QMAP training within 90 days of hire and to successfully pass QMAP certification.

Possess a valid Driving License (Minimum of 3 years)

Current Colorado Driver's License

No license suspension or revocations within the last 5 years

No major motor vehicle violations in the last 3 years.

Have a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
