About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours Experience: 2 years of previous experience required, at least 1 travel contract preferred License: State license in Illinois required, Iowa license on offer required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines - Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban, and some titration - Driver's license - Work history/resume - Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date - License verification - Copy of required certifications - One supervisory reference required at time of submission - Taxable address outside of 50 miles from facility Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required. The position requires the ability to work with a variety of medical equipment and to provide care for patients with complex needs. This role may involve working with patients who require critical monitoring and support. All candidates must have experience with the relevant medical procedures and knowledge of medication administration. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this position. Travelers will be responsible for adhering to safety and regulatory standards in patient care. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the unit and patients.
