Registered NurseThis position involves working nights, primarily 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Up to every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required. No on-call duties are expected. The unit serves a diverse population, including patients with cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health issues. Nurses will care for patients of all ages. Charge experience is preferred. Patient ratios are 4:1 for days and nights. Essential skills for this position include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and central line care/management. Experience with continuous IV sedation and managing dysrhythmias is also important. The department handles both trauma and non-trauma emergencies. Candidates should be comfortable with triage and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Experience in trauma level I or II facilities is preferred. All RNs will be required to pass a compliance EKG exam. Modules for training will be unit-based and completed during orientation.
