Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, you'll play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our monthly and annual financial results.You'll own and support core general ledger activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax filings, fixed assets, capital project tracking, budgeting, audit preparation, and financial analysis across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:Prepare or review monthly journal entries for company locationsPrepare account reconciliations and review reconciliations completed by other accounting team membersEnsure reconciliations are complete, accurate, and ready for review and approvalPrepare monthly financial statements for review by the Senior Manager of AccountingAnalyze financial results and report on the major drivers behind variancesSupport timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial reportingPrepare personal property, sales, and use tax returnsMaintain the fixed asset system and associated depreciation schedulesTrack capital projects in process and regularly report on their statusAssist with annual audit preparationSupport management in strengthening financial accountability throughout the organizationProvide support for the annual planning and budgeting processPerform ad hoc financial analysis to help answer business questions and support decision-makingSupport the Senior Manager of Accounting with additional accounting initiatives, projects, and priorities as neededRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForYou'll be a strong fit for this position if you bring:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred5+ years of general ledger, corporate accounting, or public accounting experienceHands-on experience with month-end close and account reconciliation preparationComprehensive understanding of the general ledger and financial statementsExperience working with ERP systemsStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tablesStrong attention to detail and a focus on developing processes that improve accuracyExcellent interpersonal, communication, research, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilitiesA proactive approach to investigating financial issues and resolving discrepanciesHigh level of integrity and commitment to financial accuracy and confidentialityAdditional experience that can help you succeed includes:Manufacturing accounting experienceSEC reporting or SOX experienceASC 606 Revenue Recognition experienceASC 842 Lease Accounting experiencePublic accounting experience, particularly auditingHow You'll Make an ImpactSuccess in this role means giving the organization confidence in its financial information.
