OB/GYN PhysicianAscension Medical Group; Forest Park in Kokomo, IN is looking for a FULL TIME OBGYN to join our OB team. Kokomo is a rural community, located about 1 hour North of Indianapolis and in recent years, was named the #1 most affordable small city in America. Kokomo is also home to the first commercially built automobile!OB Position Highlights:We support most of the OB needs for Kokomo and the surrounding area.We are averaging 60-80 births per month.We currently have 3 physicians, 2 full time laborists, 2 CNM and 5 NPs, and 3 sonographers.Physician will share the call with the 3 other physicians and 2 laborists.NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation certification) is required for our locationResponsibilities:Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.Accepts patient referrals from other physicians.
