Atrium Health is seeking a BC/BE Hospitalist Physician to join our team in Pineville, North Carolina. This is a swing shift position (2:00 PM 12:00 AM) designed to support peak admission volume, optimize patient flow, and enhance cross-coverage during high-acuity evening hours.

Schedule: 2:00 PM 12:00 AM (swing shift)

Shift Model: 7 on / 7 off (or equivalent block schedule)

Setting: Acute care hospital environment

Team Structure: Collaborative hospitalist group with APP support

Role Focus:

Admissions and cross-coverage during high-volume hours

Coordination of care with ED and specialty teams

Supporting patient throughput and discharge optimization

Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients

Perform admissions, evaluate new patients, and manage acute medical conditions

Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team, including nursing, case management, and specialists

Ensure timely documentation and efficient communication with referring providers

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and system-wide care standards

Training and/or Experience Required:

MD or DO from an accredited institution

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure

Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
