Instructional Assistant

West Perry Elementary Assist certified teachers with daily classroom instruction and student supervision. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic skills and classroom lessons. Support students with assignments, reading, math practice, and instructional activities. Help maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment. Monitor student behavior and assist with classroom management strategies. Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, bus duty, and other assigned activities. Prepare instructional materials, copies, bulletin boards, and classroom resources as directed by the teacher. Assist with technology use and educational programs in the classroom. Support students with special learning, behavioral, or physical needs as assigned. Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information. Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, staff, students, and parents when appropriate. Participate in school trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities. Follow district policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform other duties assigned by the principal or supervising teacher. #J-18808-Ljbffr
