Quality Systems Engineer

Job Title Quality Systems Engineer – San Diego, CA Pay Range $79,000 to $102,000 per year (actual base pay based on relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills.) The position will work closely with the Quality Systems Manager in strengthening the company’s internal audit program, change management, system implementation, and general process controls. The individual will audit internal operations to ensure the adequacy of internal controls and evaluate operational effectiveness and efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Executing audit programs, preparing audit reports, documenting findings, performing data analysis, and communicating recommendations for improvements. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also successfully executing independent assignments. Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills. Ability to identify and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal control processes. Ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Willingness to participate in the development or modification of audit programs to test key controls effectively and efficiently. Ability to assess risks. Ability to formalize audit observations and draft reports. Qualifications Experience executing audit programs, preparing audit reports, documenting findings, performing data analysis, and communicating recommendations for improvements. Strong prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Teamwork abilities and the capacity for independent work. Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills. Understanding of internal control design and operating effectiveness. Identifying improvement opportunities and recommendation skills. Willingness to help develop or modify audit programs for efficient and effective control testing. Risk assessment skills. Strong audit observation formalization and report drafting abilities.
