Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator plays a key role in managing all shipping, receiving, and material handling activities to support internal and external customers in an efficient, cost-effective, safe, and professional manner. This is a full-time, first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
• Pull stock and materials accurately to fulfill orders and production needs.
• Maintain proper storage of products, ensuring items are organized and easy to locate.
• Match incoming products and materials to purchase orders and packing lists to verify accuracy.
• Tag and label products clearly and move them to appropriate storage areas.
• Monitor the production schedule in conjunction with the shipping schedule and revise shipping plans as needed to meet deadlines.
• Document all shipping and receiving activities in the ERP system with accurate and timely data entry.
• Generate freight quotes, including using scan guns, to support Customer Service and Sales teams.
• Dispatch carrier services and coordinate pickups and deliveries when necessary.
• Perform order picking, packing, and packaging tasks to prepare shipments for outbound delivery.
• Conduct cycle counts and support inventory control to maintain accurate warehouse inventory levels.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks safely and maintain current certifications.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and confirm order accuracy.
• Handle material movement throughout the warehouse, including staging, replenishment, and stocking.
• Support warehouse management activities and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to ensure quality and timely service.
• Provide responsive, professional support to internal and external customers related to shipping, receiving, and material handling.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines for warehouse operations and equipment use.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading, unloading, picking, and packing orders.
• Proficiency operating sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks, with the ability to maintain and update required certifications.
• Hands-on experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order verification.
• Practical knowledge of ERP systems for documenting shipping and receiving information, including experience with internal ERP platforms.
• Strong inventory management and inventory control skills, including conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Ability to generate freight quotes and coordinate carrier services for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Competence in warehouse management and material handling in a clean, organized environment.
• Solid computer skills to navigate ERP software and related warehouse systems.
• Attention to detail when matching products to purchase orders and tagging, labeling, and storing items correctly.
• Capability to work a consistent first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with major shipping carriers such as FedEx for outbound shipments.
• Background in packaging and preparing products for shipment to meet customer and carrier requirements.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes, including order selecting, picking, and staging.
• Ability to learn and work within structured training programs and progress through multiple position levels.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with production, customer service, and sales teams.
• Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining an orderly, efficient warehouse environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
