Cleveland VAMC

Provides comprehensive primary, mental health, specialty care along with social services to nearly 112,600 Veterans across Northeast Ohio annually. This care is coordinated at our hub the Cleveland VA Medical Center. In addition to focusing on health care, the VA's hub in Cleveland also works to improve the future of medicine through education and medical research.

• Performs 7,982 outpatient appointments, 1,538 primary care appointments, 5,011 specialty care appointments, and 1,433 mental health appointments. Fill 12,938 prescriptions, perform 243 home care visits, and serve more than 1,600 meals.

Duties

• Providing patient-centered care to the spinal cord injured, multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) veteran.
• Documenting thorough skin assessments, including complex wound dressing changes.
• Using bar code medication administration (BCMA) to provide safe medication administration.
• Identifying and analyzing problems which effect/impede patient care and initiating their resolution.
• Using effective communication skills with individuals and groups to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

• 2 Years direct patient care experience
• A current License in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS is required
