Surgical Nurse Practitioner

We are currently seeking an experienced Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a collaborative, high-acuity ICU team in Peoria, IL (61637). This position offers excellent scheduling flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available, and we are accepting multiple locum tenens providers to cover the needs.
Position Highlights:
• Setting: High-acuity coverage across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units.
• Coverage Model: Work alongside two other APPs with robust on-site support from attending physicians, fellows, and residents.
• Patient Volume: Manage approximately patients per day.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop treatment plans and perform bedside procedures, including central and arterial line placements.
• Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery and neurocritical care patients (including subdural hemorrhages and EVDs).
• Participate in advanced care for patients requiring VADs, VA ECMO, and heart transplant support.
Requirements:
• Active Illinois state license required at the time of presentation (IMLC not accepted).
• Prior Critical Care APP experience is required.
