The Attendant assists customers with merchandise selections, maintaining an organized and visually appealing golf shop, and providing information about club services and events. Additionally, the role will support inventory management and collaborate with the pro-shop team to ensure seamless operations and a high standard of service./ppstrongReporting Structure/strong/pp Reports to the Supervisor Golf Shop/ppDay-to-Day/pulliDeliver exceptional customer service in the pro-shop by welcoming golfers, accurately processing charges at the register, and properly checking in all players before their round./liliAdhere to proper cash handling procedures and ensure all operational standards are met./liliHandle member/guest inquiries, manage tee-time bookings in person and over the phone, and engage in friendly, professional conversations./liliMaintain a calm, courteous, and attentive demeanor, even in high-pressure situations, to provide a superior customer experience./liliOversee inventory management by checking in merchandise according to procedures, organizing storage and display areas, and maintaining stock levels of frequently sold items (e.g., apparel, gloves, hats, and balls). Ensure customers are promptly informed when special orders arrive and handle all returns, issuing appropriate credits./liliAssist with course operations by marshaling, starting, and supporting outside services as needed, ensuring seamless coordination between pro-shop and golf operations staff./liliSupport outside golf operations staff to ensure proper execution of daily procedures and policies, maintaining smooth operational flow and exceptional service./liliExecute end-of-day business functions following the clubs guidelines and established procedures to ensure accurate reporting and efficient closeout processes./liliEnsure all daily tasks are completed to club standards, including maintaining orderly and organized work areas, tidying the pro-shop and entry areas, and restocking merchandise as needed./liliProvide operational and administrative support to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators, assisting with projects and ensuring smooth execution of golf operations and events./li/ulpAdditional Duties/pulliDue to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management./liliFollow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions./liliMaintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff./liliFollow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same./liliTake the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role./liliAddress and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations./liliAttend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the teams success./li/ulpAbout You/ppPreferred/pulliHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent./liliPrevious experience in customer service or retail, with a basic understanding of golf operations, equipment, and etiquette./liliInterpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with members and guests./liliOrganizational skills and attention to detail to maintain the shops presentation and inventory./liliAbility to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a proactive and positive attitude./liliKnowledge of golf merchandise, apparel, and equipment./liliFamiliarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic cash handling procedure/li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliFrequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity./liliSitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing./li/ulpPrimary Tools/Equipment/pulliGolf Clubs Bag 40 - 50 lbs./liliMerchandise 5 - 50 lbs./liliComputer/liliKeyboard/liliPro Shop supplies/equipment/li/ulpWork Schedule/pulliAttendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule.
