Temporary - Athletic Event Staff

Posting Details Colgate University invites applications for Temporary Athletic Event Staff. This is a part-time, casual wage position within the Athletics division, Athletic Event Management department, with a hiring wage of $16.00 per hour. Work schedule typically includes evenings and weekends, as needed. This appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined; if more than 999 hours are worked in a year, the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service. Responsibilities Athletic Event Staff members will be needed for Colgate athletic events (football, soccer, field hockey, basketball, ice hockey, lacrosse, softball, and volleyball). Various job positions are available, for the athletic event staff positions, including: Ticket Takers : Collecting game tickets for admission into Colgate athletic home events Ticket Sellers : Selling game tickets for Colgate athletic home events Will Call Attendants : Distribute game tickets from various constituents; must follow NCAA, Patriot League, ECAC Hockey, and Colgate University ticket policies Ushers : Assisting fans to their seats, securing the home facility, and providing event information Parking Attendants : Facilitate parking in the three lots available for home games Score Clock Operator(s) : Operating the scoreboard controller and working with the official crew during games Statisticians (basketball/volleyball) : Track official game stats and work with the official crew during games Instant Replay Operator (basketball/volleyball/ice hockey) : Track game situations and work with officials; training sessions required prior to start of season Instant Replay Spotter (Football only) : Assist in reviewing game situations with officials Penalty Box Personnel (Ice hockey only) : Timing penalties and handling ice hockey game goals during intermissions Kiosk Attendant (Ice hockey only) : Sell Colgate Athletics merchandise at home events Requirements Professional Experience/Qualifications : Dependable with flexible hours; excellent customer service; ability to stand for extended periods in various weather conditions; able to work collegially with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students; must be 18 years of age or older.
