Join Our Team as a Class A CDL Driver! General Equipment & Supply is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our growing team. This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy being on the road and are comfortable with frequent overnight travel. OTR travel is a core requirement of this role. Approximately 85% of trips involve travel outside of South Carolina, requiring multi-state deliveries and overnight stays. Candidates must be willing and able to spend extended periods on the road while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and DOT compliance. Key Responsibilities Transport tools, equipment, and materials to customer locations and job sites throughout the Southeast and beyond. Complete local and Over-the-Road (OTR) deliveries safely and efficiently. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Secure, load, and unload equipment and materials as required. Maintain accurate trip records and delivery documentation. Represent General Equipment & Supply professionally at customer sites. Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Minimum 2 years of OTR driving experience strongly preferred. Ability and willingness to travel overnight and work multi-state routes on a regular basis. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation safety practices. Experience transporting and securing equipment and materials. TWIC Card or ability to obtain one. Ability to lift, load, and unload materials safely. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Heavy equipment operating experience. Forklift certification or experience. LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipping experience. Shipping and receiving knowledge. Basic computer and electronic logging system experience. Training or mentoring experience...
