Position Summary Location: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (10115), Torrington, Connecticut. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122‑bed, general acute care community hospital that serves the regional health‑care needs of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. The Clinical Supervisor acts as the off‑shift administrator on call with responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and their effect on patient care. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for patient flow and bed management, has authority to make decisions in the areas of patient care, human resources, and financial management, and maintains timely and appropriate communication with department Directors/Managers regarding issues or concerns that occur on the off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities • Implement hospital policies and procedures to enhance patient care. • Manage patient flow and bed allocation during off‑shift periods. • Make authoritative decisions in patient care, human resources, and financial management. • Communicate with department Directors/Managers about issues arising during off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Current CT RN Licensure B.S. with a concentration in nursing required; acceptance of matriculation into a BSN program (traditional or online) within six months of accepting the position.
