A travel opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to work in a 99-bed hospital facility located in Carlsbad, NM. This 13-week assignment offers the possibility of temp-to-hire for the right candidate seeking professional growth and a chance to provide critical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
Location: Carlsbad, NM
Schedule:
- Day shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- One weekend per month: 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Call and holiday coverage required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct order verification to ensure accuracy and patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support daily operations
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication therapy
- Provide clinical support and collaborate with healthcare teams
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico Pharmacy License in hand
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience working in hospital pharmacy environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to manage call responsibilities and weekend shifts
