Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a full‑time Clinician to deliver evidence‑based Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and Multisystemic Therapy (MST) in Lagrange, GA. Services are delivered in clients’ homes to youth at risk, those with a history of out‑of‑home placement, or who are involved with the justice system. Job Responsibilities Carry a caseload as assigned. Participate as part of a therapy team, attending weekly team and individual supervision meetings. Refer families to appropriate services and supports, both clinical and concrete. Document case progress notes as required. Engage in all training, supervision, and consultation activities. Preferred Experience Use of pragmatic family therapies (structural, strategic, and functional). Individual therapy with youth and adults using cognitive‑behavioral techniques. Marital therapy using behaviorally based approaches. Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance. Implementation of interventions across systems in the youth’s natural ecology (family, peer, school, neighborhood). Preferred Knowledge Family systems theory and application. Social‑ecological theory and application. Behavioral therapies theory and application. Cognitive‑behavioral therapy theory and application. Pragmatic family therapies theory and application. Child development research and its application in treatment. Social skills assessment and intervention. Basic counseling and process skills. Preferred Core Competencies Ability to engage clients. Willingness and ability to be strengths‑focused. Ability to shift to process. Advocacy for youth and families, belief in the capacity to grow and change. Stress management and self‑care skills. Appreciation, respect, and understanding for teamwork and company systems. High self‑awareness. Comfort with cultural differences; ability to relate without patronizing. Commitment to empowering families to solve their own problems. Comfort working in families’ homes. Flexibility to meet families at convenient times. Education Preference Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work (MSW), mental health counseling (MHC), marriage and family therapy (MFT), psychology, counseling, education, or other relevant human services profession preferred.
