Pediatric Speech Therapist in Troy, NY

A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support middle school students in a self-contained classroom setting. This role involves working with a diverse group of students presenting a variety of disorders and disabilities. The position is ideal for an SLP with experience in pediatric and school-based settings, including teletherapy.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to middle school students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of students with diverse communication disorders and disabilities.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Utilize teletherapy techniques as needed to ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with families and school personnel.
• Support students within a self-contained classroom environment, addressing complex communication challenges.

Qualifications:

• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
• Experience working in pediatric healthcare and educational settings.
• Skilled in teletherapy delivery methods.
• Ability to address a wide range of speech and language disorders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
