Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, disposal procedures, ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Lead training sessions on workplace safety regulations, emergency response procedures including CPR and First Aid certifications, and environmental management systems.
• Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with workers' compensation law and legal requirements.
• Prepare detailed report writing for incident reports, compliance documentation, audit findings, and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, hazardous materials regulations, and occupational health practices.
• Proven experience in manufacturing environments or similar industrial settings with a focus on workplace safety initiatives.
• Strong understanding of environmental management systems (EMS) and environmental regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Excellent report writing skills combined with analytical abilities for root cause analysis of incidents or hazards.
• Ability to conduct effective training & development sessions on safety procedures and regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with workers' compensation law processes and legal compliance standards related to employee health.
• Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA training courses, or equivalent are highly desirable to support emergency preparedness efforts.
