Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Cerner proficiency, and ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in a 32-bed Emergency Department at a 355-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population spans all ages (birth to death), including stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases
• Patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5
• Cerner EMR is used and experience is required
• Critical care equipment is used in this unit
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Weekends rotate every other weekend
• Call requirements include push-back hours depending on census
• Floating may be required to areas where the nurse has demonstrated competencies

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an emergency department setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma preferred
• Strong critical care thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• This facility does not hold an official trauma designation but receives all trauma cases
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not permitted
• 13-week contract
