As a Research Data Scientist in the DDI, you will apply advanced statistical, mathematical, and machine learning methodologies to develop algorithms and deliver high-impact data analytics that drive research insights and innovation. In this role, you will be part of the Data Analytics and Computational Science group and help build out the trauma research program by integrating data from multiple sources to improve accessibility, efficiency, and analysis. You will contribute to AI-focused projects and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary research teams while serving as a team lead, providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance to support the growth and effectiveness of fellow team members.A caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible)A caregiver who excels in this role will: Utilize methods in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AL), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP) to design and implement data solutions.Build complex predictive models, mix models, attribution models and other mathematical or statistical models as needed by using modeling tools.Develop methods, novel algorithms and/or high-level data analysis that integrates implementation, visualization and database management of multi-dimensional clinical or biological datasets.Serve as a team lead to the Principal Investigator, providing training, mentoring and instruction to other lab members in tools and data analysis.Communicate and present research findings to Principal Investigator, greater research community and forums.Other duties as assigned.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: M.S. or PhD in computer science/statistics/software engineering/bioinformatics or related field and three years of related experience, working with statistical modeling, machine learning or complex data analysisOR Bachelor’s degree and six years of related experienceOR Master’s degree in related field and one year of related experience, working with statistical modeling, machine learning or complex data analysisOR PhD in related fieldHighly proficient with programing skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB or similarExcellent communication and presentation skillsPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:PhD or other advanced doctoral-level educationExperience working with healthcare dataExperience working with imaging, visual, or other complex data typesCollaborative, energetic approach, and enthusiasm for working as part of a multidisciplinary teamExcitement about helping build and grow a new research program by integrating diverse data sources to advance research, academic initiatives, and scientific publicationPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationIn some locations, ability to move up to 15 poundsPersonal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment.Pay RangeMinimum Annual Salary: $84,200.00Maximum Annual Salary: $128,412.50The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
