Responsibilities

• Build mechanical machine components in accordance with engineering prints and specifications.

• Verify and adjust mechanical functions to ensure machines operate correctly and reliably.

• Perform final machine setup, including alignment, measurement, and functional checks.

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and related documentation.

• Assemble and align spindles, gearboxes, rails, and other precision components.

• Use indicators and measuring tools to check alignment, tolerances, and overall machine accuracy.

• Perform mechanical assembly, fabrication, and machine build tasks as needed.

• Support electrical wiring, panel building, soldering, and electrical assembly activities related to the machine build.

• Work with pneumatic components and systems as part of the overall machine assembly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
