Responsibilities Learn and perform job assignments of day porter, custodian, and floor technician while teaching others to operate various industrial cleaning and laundry equipment. Lead small groups of staff in cleaning and laundry tasks across varying shifts. Acquire knowledge of policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements to eventually manage custodial and floor care staff at a single site. Develop skills in payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, and budgeting. Assist in staff training, quality control, and in-servicing. Utilize protective gear appropriately and maintain a professional demeanor. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. 2 years of experience in environmental services within a healthcare or school setting with supervisory experience desired. Basic computer skills preferred. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or customers. Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds and work around cleaning products. Must be able to work around cleaning products. Must provide a criminal background check. Must maintain a valid driver’s license. Additional Pay Information Offered salary rates for this position are determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs, aspects, operational considerations, and requirements of the facility serviced.
